Types of installations
What is a Hybrid System?
A hybrid system uses efficient heat pump technology to heat your home during the spring, fall and milder winter days. When the temperature drops the systems relies on a high efficiency gas furnace or boiler to heat your home. With the help with our intuitive controls this system provides a comfortable and efficient heat for your family. During the summer months, the components also work together to provide efficient cooling and dehumidification.
What are Air Source Heat Pumps?
Air-source heat pumps use the outside air to both heat and cool your home. In winter a heat pump absorbs heat from the outside air and distributes it throughout your house. In the summer, a heat pump operates just like a traditional air conditioner and includes the same efficiency and features. Heat pumps offer customizable heating options and humidity control.
What is AFUE?
AFUE or Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency measures how efficiently a gas furnace, boiler, or water heater converts fuel into usable energy over the course of an entire heating season or year. The higher the efficiency means that less fuel is wasted which is the smartest choice not only for your wallet, but for the environment too.
What are ECM motors?
ECM or Electronically Commutated Motor. ECM's motors are brushless DC motors that function using a built-in inverter and a magnet rotor, meaning they are able to achieve greater efficiency than most AC motors. ECMs are low-maintenance, energy efficient, and reduce operating costs.
